Biography
Since 2015, Cornelie has been working as a psychologist at the Department of Military Mental Healthcare of the Dutch Ministry of Defence. She is currently in her final year of training to become a clinical psychologist, having started this program in January 2021. Her daily responsibilities at Military Mental Healthcare include diagnosing and treating active-duty military personnel, conducting clinical research, and training colleagues. Over the past six years, her work has also involved providing solution-focused group therapy and training healthcare workers, including medical doctors, in the solution-focused approach.
Since beginning her clinical psychologist training in 2021, she and her colleagues have initiated an open, uncontrolled, naturalistic study. This study aims to examine the effects of solution-focused thinking on well-being and positive affect following participation in solution-focused group therapy.
