Biography
Daniëlle continued her studies after completing her bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Antwerp in 2020. During her bachelor's thesis, she assisted in the optimization of measuring local field potentials (LFPs) in the brains of rats with Alzheimer's over a 24-hour period. After her bachelor's, she obtained a master's degree in Neuroscience at the University of Antwerp. For her master's thesis, she studied changes in LFPs for memory in Alzheimer's rats during behavioral experiments that were part of a study on early biomarkers for Alzheimer's in a very early stage. During her studies, she worked as a physiotherapist at a hospital in Antwerp in various departments such as intensive care and neurology.
After completing her studies and moving back to the Netherlands, Daniëlle worked at the Brain research an inovation cente as a research assistent.
